The site is at Strandhill Beach, mecca for surfers from all around the world, while the flat sands of Culleenamore, more suitable for family fun, are just 2km, distant. Golf is at 500m, shops, pubs and restaurants, within 100m.
There are toilets, showerss and chemical disposal unit, Motorhome Service Point, surfers outdoor shower, laundry room and T.V. and games room. Strandhill is for walkers, with miles of sandy beach and dunes. Knocknarea mountain and cairn rise just behind the site. Horse riding 5km. Sligo City 8km, has many attractions, including a swimming pool and sports complex. The megalithic tombs at Carrowmore are just 5km from the park.
