Abhainn Ri Cottages are Failte Ireland four star approved. Located in a very quiet unique location on farmland with lovely fresh spring water. Ballintober the place name - meaning land with wells. Four identical cottages are fitted and equipped to a very high standard. Indeed a wonderful family / friends favourite location with lots to see and do to suit everyone. We can also cater for group booking of up to 24 people.
Within just one hour from Dublin City, Airport, Dublin Port and Dunlaoire ferry ports or Roslare (2hrs). An ideal location for sight seeing or even if you wish to visit some family or friends in Wicklow, Dublin or Kildare. Excellent facilities nearby for golfing, fishing, horse riding and forest walks.
Shops, restaurants and pubs are only a 5 minute drive away and Blessington which is a large country town has everything you may require and is only a 10 minute drive away.
Located within a 20 minute drive to Glendalough for a wonderful walking experience and a visit to our famous monastic settlement.
Very spacious tastefully decorated cottages. Furnished and fitted to a very high standard. All bedrooms are en-suite. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher washer/dryer, cooker, hob and microwave. Fully equipped with all utensils. The living are has a TV / Video and radio and of course a wonderful log burning stove for the cooler evenings. The cottages are heated with electric storage heaters.
Ideal for couples, small groups and families. One cottage has gained the very high standard of category three wheelchair approval also with Failte Ireland (Irish Tourist Board).
