Located in the foothills of the Comeragh Mountains, Carrigeen House offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and seclusion of the Comeragh Mountains and the many amenities that are available in the area; hiking, pony trekking, fishing, etc., while being only 20 minutes drive from the historic, cosmopolitan, Waterford City.
The Comeragh Mountains provide a wealth of scenery and are an ideal destination for hikers and walkers. Maps are provided which detail walks to the various Coums, such as Coumshingaun, and to the spectacular Mahon Falls.
To the south are located some of Irelands safest sandy beaches, such as Bonmahon, Stradbally and Clonea, as well as the famous Tramore resort with its 5Km of beach and every conceivable amenity and attraction.
Other amenities which can be found within 20Km of Carrigeen House include five 18 hole golf courses, pony trekking, angling, sailing, surfing, tennis, pitch & putt, and a number of leisure centres.
Children are particularly welcome at Carrigeen House, and we have a games room/play area available for them which contains a pool table, table tennis, swings and a slide. We also have a small boating pond, with boats free to guests.
