Mayfly lodge is a luxury self-catering accommodation situated on the banks of the River Shannon in "lovely Leitrim" in the north west of Ireland. Located on a working dairy farm and overlooking the waters of lough boderg and derrycarne forest this popular accommodation caters for all needs whether you want to fish in the local waters, tour the area or if you just want to get away from It all.
Mayfly lodge offers guests accommodation of the highest order. Accommodating eight persons we have four spacious en suite bedrooms, all with pine floors and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and lakes.
A fully fitted kitchen with open fire, cosy lounge with TV/video facilities and games room with pool table/ dartboard ensure that all guests will have a comfortable stay.
The accommodation has facilities, which are second to none, and all needs are catered for to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable and memorable stay. We also have bait storage facilities for our anglers and fresh bait can be provided and delivered to the accommodation at all times.
Mayfly lodge is set in landscaped gardens and outside there is a patio terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. We also have a playground to the exterior of the accommodation.
We also have a number of fishing boats for hire if our guests want to go in pursuit of Shannon pike or alternatively view the majestic River Shannon. (Guides are available also)
The jewel in the crown for "mayfly lodge" is our own private stretch of the prolific River Shannon with landscaped gardens, boating facilities and angling pegs. Guests have sole access to this area, which ensures total privacy and freedom to fish the waters, go boating, or just to relax and watch the cruisers go up and down the river.
For the carp anglers we are located five minutes from a carp water and we can also arrange sea fishing trips on the waters of the Atlantic around Sligo for our guests.
With pubs and shops only a ten minute drive away and carrick on shannon only fifteen minutes away, this property is a must for anyone seeking one of the best self catering accommodation in Ireland.
