Drumcovitt House is a listed Georgian country house built in 1796 onto an existing one hundred year old, 4 storey farm house. It is encircled by trees - the Beeches were planted to celebrate the victory at Waterloo in 1815. The farms is 103 hectares containing arable, grazing, copses, a wooded glen and a small area of bog containing examples of semi-endangered plants. Birds, large and small, residential and migratory abound.
Situated 1 Km east of Feeny village on the B74 between Claudy and Dungiven it is central for angling on the Faughan, Roe, Finn and Lower Bann, also sea angling on the north coast.
The valley has many archaeological sites situated as it is in the Sperrins - centre of ancient civilisations - the remains of a Celtic Fort are on the farm. 3 Km away is Banagher Glen an area of special scientific interest.
All around is beautiful countryside to wander through by car, bicycle or on foot.
Derry City - the only walled city in Ireland is a few miles away. Short drives take you to the Blue Flag sandy beach at Benone, the Giants Causeway or to the rugged coast of north Donegal.
The whole house is centrally heated. The bedrooms have tea / coffee making facilities and electric blankets.
